IRWMP Regional Meetings

McArthur, 9 a.m. to noon, Intermountain Fairgrounds, George Ingram Hall

Alturas, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Strong Family Health Center, 1203 Oak St.

To make it easier for more people to participate, we are holding meetings in two locations within the region. Both meetings will have the same agenda and you are invited to attend either meeting, or both. The meetings will be facilitated by the IRWMP consulting team. Anyone interested in the future management of water resources in the Upper Pit River Watershed area is encouraged to attend.


Welcome and Introductions  

What is the IRWMP and What Does it Mean for the Region?  

  • Brief presentation and answers to questions

 Regional Issues and Conflicts Related to Water Resources Management

  • Brainstorm a list of issues and conflicts

 Goals – Targets for the Plan

  • Discuss possible goals to address identified issues/conflicts

 Local Governance for the IRWM Plan Development Process

  • Discuss possible governance and decision-making models, including make-up and structure of governing group & how decisions will be made: Group Input and Discussion

 How the Work Gets Done

  • Technical advisory committees & working groups; opportunities for public involvement

 Next Steps

  • Meeting in December? Set up Committees? Begin designing projects.
